For Pediatric Nurses, there are few rewards as exciting as earning the smile of an infant who is weaning from the ventilator, hearing the voice of a child newly decannulated, or watching a toddler walk in the grass for the very first time.

In this one-of-a kind residential program, two nurses work along with a child care worker, providing 'round the clock care.  Nurses enjoy the challenge of delivering high-tech care to children with a variety of complex medical conditions in a relaxed home environment.  Through a holistic approach, nurses value and promote a child's social, emotional and developmental growth, as well as their physical healing.  A nurse administrator is always available for consultation and support.

Experience the satisfaction of applying your technical skills to provide a meaningful difference in the quality of life for infants and young children who are medically complex.  Participate in the triumph of reuniting a child with their biological family or alternative foster or adoptive family.

Our Training Program offers preceptors who educate less experienced nurses and expand their clinical competencies to become skilled in the care of children who are tracheostomy and ventilator dependent.  Eligible full-time candidates will receive their complete compensation package during their training period.

Child Care Workers and Respite Care Workers round out the team in each home.  They share in the joy and satisfaction of being an integral part of the life of the children and their families as they transition from hospitals to homes. Child care workers assist nurses in the daily care of the children and help implement the program plans for each child.  Respite Care Workers stay overnight in each home to be available in case of emergency.
